The Busy First Week

Wow! What an amazing and packed week this has been! Perhaps one of the biggest adjustments is that rather than being a UBC staff team, we've shifted to a metro team model, meaning that our team now works at University of Victoria, University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University. What does this mean for me? I'll be two days at SFU and two days at UBC...it's like being bilingual! I've spent the past week getting to know the students and campus at SFU, and it's so exciting to see what God is doing on TWO campuses! The two pictures above are taken at SFU.

Last week at both campuses we gave out Real Life Kits to over 2000 students! That means we spent the day having spiritual conversations, doing questionnaires and inviting students to join us in discovering Jesus. Many of these students left their contact information in order to join Bible studies or be to meet with someone to ask questions and engage in spiritual conversations. In fact, of those students, three girls have chosen to place their faith in Christ and accept His redemption! Praise God!

Our staff team has been busy scheduling Bible studies, planning our first weekly meetings, meeting up with interested students and developing new ways of equipping students to share their faith.

I'm really excited about the upcoming year; Our team has approximately .4% of the Canadian population on our campuses and we truly have the opportunity to shape the future! :-)
